An online shop was launched yesterday and already more than half of the contents have sold out! Shorts, bras and tents are still available and other stock will be replenished very soon.
The idea behind the shop is to enable customers to purchase items at low cost that have previously been requested by the homeless community, and see those items then be given direct to the homeless as part of Streets Kitchen outreach work. Products are brand new and bought at cost price, sometimes in bulk, our volunteers love sourcing great deals and those savings are passed onto the purchaser. Streets Kitchen does not take any profit – the only fee charged is to cover PayPal costs of 1.4% plus 20p per item.
